SoCal EMT Training was established in 2013. Our instructors are currently working in the field; one as an Emergency Services Coordinator for the City of Murrieta Fire Dept., and EMT Program Director for Mt. San Jacinto Community College and the other as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department for a major healthcare provider. Our staff collectively possess over 45 years of emergency experience including a practicing paramedic, paramedic supervision, training and program development, management of paramedic educational services, emergency room nursing and charge nurse experience in a busy emergency room. Our staff has the following certifications:

Our EMT training course features a “Personal Approach” to learning. Our students learn through real life settings, videos, PowerPoint presentations, lectures, and manipulative skills demonstrations. We are committed to warrant that each of our students are ready to enter the workforce as a competent EMT. Emergency and heatlhcare training should be easy to learn, concise in its presentation, and useful in a real world sense. The goal of SoCal EMT Training are not just about compliance, but rather absorbing, comprehension, and applying expertise to each individual’s life, in order to improve it and make the world a safer place.

Ron Brossard
Ron BrossardU.S. Army Combat Medic - Primary Instructor
Ron first became interested in EMS after receiving his Combat Life Saver Certificate in 2009 while serving in the Marine Corps as an infantryman.

In 2011 Ron received his EMT certification and has worked for AMR Hemet as an EMT. After separating from the Marine Corps in 2013 he joined the Army Reserves where he currently serves as a Combat Medic.

Autumn Mitchell
Autumn MitchellParamedic – Skill Instructor
Autumn’s grandfather was a firefighter and she always wanted to follow in his footsteps.

She fulfilled this dream when she took her paramedic program in the San Diego area. Since then she has been serving others for 8 years. She previously worked as a Paramedic on a cruise line and currently works as a Paramedic for AMR.

Greg Tolle
Greg TolleParamedic – Primary Instructor
Greg became interested in pursuing a career in the fire service in the early 1980’s. His first step was EMT school at Citrus College followed by working at a private ambulance company in Los Angeles County. While working as an EMT, Greg attended Rio Honda College to complete the Fire Academy. He was hired by Alhambra Fire Department and attended paramedic school.

Greg is now retired from Orange County Fire Authority as an Engineer/Paramedic after 33 years in fire and the EMS field.

Tyler Andrews
Tyler AndrewsParamedic - Primary Instructor
Tyler acquired his interest in the medical field while doing medical missions and disaster relief work. He started working in a physical therapy clinic with aspirations of becoming a Physician’s Assistant and went to EMT school to start attaining experience.

Tyler currently works for AMR Hemet as a Paramedic and at Rancho Springs Medical Center as an ER Tech.

Ryan Graf
Ryan GrafEMT - Skill Instructor
Ryan became interested in EMS after being transported via ambulance following a crash on his dirt bike. He noticed how awesome it was to be a help to people when they are at their worst.

Ryan received his EMT training at Southern California EMS Training Institute in 2014 and then graduated from the Fire Academy in April 2015. He currently works as an EMT for Symons Ambulance.

Jacob Herchert
Jacob HerchertParamedic – Skill Instructor
In 2005 Jake took his EMT class with Art Durbin. From the first day of class he knew he wanted to be in Fire/EMS. From there he took multiple classes and training to obtain his position as a Firefighter- Paramedic.

Jake has worked for 13 years in the EMS Field and currently works for Escondido Fire.

Melissa Hale
Melissa HaleParamedic – Skill Instructor
While doing many ride alongs with her Firefighter Engineer uncle, Melissa found that she loved the adrenaline rush she received and team aspect of it.

Melissa did her EMT school during her undergrad at UC Berkeley then moved back to So Cal and worked for Pacific Ambulance in San Diego. She attended paramedic school at Palomar College and works for AMR San Diego. Her end goal is to become a Firefighter Paramedic.

Ryan Ivers
Ryan IversEMT – Skill Instructor
Ryan wanted to go to school to become a Physician’s Assistant and a friend told him about the EMT course. He completed his EMT Course with Southern California EMS Training Institute in 2014. After getting a job working on an ambulance he knew he did not want to do any other job.
Jade SanNicolas
Jade SanNicolasParamedic – Skills Instructor
After taking an EMT class, Jade knew she wanted to learn more and decided to become a Paramedic.

Jade has been in this line of work for five years and has previously worked as an EMT with Mission Ambulance and was ER Tech at Inland Valley. She currently works as a Paramedic for AMR.

Trent Moore
Trent MooreParamedic - Skill Instructor
Trent started in EMS in 2009 with the Murrieta Fire Explorers and is now working for a large southern California fire department. EMS has been in his family for three generations.

Trent wants to continue in footsteps of his family by providing care for the people around him and in his community. He currently works at AMR in LA County and with Julian’s Fire Department.
