Jonny San Nicolas

Jonny started his EMS career in 2009 as an EMT. He worked for a local BLS ambulance company and as a reserve firefighter. He attended Paramedic School in 2014 at Palomar College. Jonny worked for Escondido Fire Department as a Non-Safety Paramedic and Firefighter for 8 years and worked for Mercy Air as a Flight Paramedic.
Jade San Nicolas
Vice President, Paramedic, Program Director
Born in Southern California, Jade has been in EMS for over a decade. She has worked in the field as an EMT and in hospitals as an ER Tech. She went to Paramedic School in 2011 and worked for AMR Hemet as a Paramedic. Jade has worked for SoCal EMS for the last 8 years as a Primary and Skills instructor and is currently the Program director.
Adriana Lanssens
Paramedic, Primary Instructor
My name is Adriana Lanssens. I began working as an EMT in 2015 for a BLS company and then started paramedic school a year later. I completed the course in 2017 and have since been working as a paramedic at Hemet AMR. Working in the EMS field has been great and full of amazing opportunities. I am excited to be a part of the beginning of other’s EMS journey!
Victoria Venters

Hi there, My name is Victoria. Prior to attending Socal EMS in 2023 I worked in geriatric care for nine years. Following graduation I began working in the office as well working for a local IFT company. Having experience in the field gives me the opportunity to help fellow students grow in the EMS field.
Greg Tolle
EMT/Firefighter, Skill Instructor
Greg has over 30 years of experience in the EMS field. He worked as an EMT for a private ambulance before going to Paramedic School at Harbor/ UCLA Hospital. He retired from Alhambra and Orange County Fire Authority as a Parademic-Engineer with 30 years of service. Greg has worked for Disneyland Fire Department for the last 5 years and has been an EMT instructor since the early 90’s. Greg is currently a Primary Instructor and has been with SoCal EMS since 2017.
Baruc Ramos
EMT, Skills Instructor
Baruc has been in EMS since 2017. He started out working on an ambulance in the 911 system in SD county and then moved over to Riverside county. Currently, I work at Rancho Springs emergency department as an ER Technician. I love both prehospital EMS and patient care in the hospital setting. Serving others as an EMS provider is something that I’ve always loved. Being able to bring that experience into my role as an instructor is a huge honor and privilege for me.
Revey Jones
Paramedic, Skills Instructor
C. Revey Jones is a paramedic for AMR Hemet. Jones has two Bachelor's degrees: one in American Studies and the other in Film Studies. She also has a Master's degree in Communications (Film Writing) all from her alma mater: Cal State University, Fullerton. After Jones worked in the film indury for a couple of years she experienced a life-altering event that inspired her to become a first responder. Jones went back to school and received an Associate in Paramedicine.
Albert DelaVega
Paramedic, Skills Instructor
Albert started his EMS career in 2008 and attended EMT school at MSJC. He worked for AMR Riverside before going to Paramedic School in 2013. Once he graduated he re-classed as a Paramedic in 2014 for AMR. Albert now works for Reach Air Medical Services as a paramedic.
Austen Scroggins

Hey my name is Austen Scroggins. I am an Engineer/Paramedic for Cal Fire Riverside County and am currently assigned to station 10 in the City of Lake Elsinore. I have been teaching at So Cal EMS for over 6 years now and love to teach and help the new generation grow a passion for EMS like I have. You will always see me smiling, laughing, and having a good time!
Styles Arnett
Paramedic, Skills Instructor
Styles started his EMS career in 2012, he has worked at AMR in riverside county where he reclassed as a medic in 2017. He worked for the riverside division for eight years where he was also a paramedic preceptor. He was a flight medic for 3 years, and is currently working for AMR Palm Springs division.
Trevor Klopfenstein

My name is Trevor Klopfenstein and I am a Firefighter/Paramedic for CalFire Riverside County. I am currently assigned to Station 20 in the city of Beaumont. Im excited to be apart of the team and help those that want to help others some day. Started my EMS journey in 2011 as a Fire explorer and volunteer firefighter in Moreno Valley. Went to EMT school in 2014 and paramedic school in 2018.
Anthony Mihelich
Paramedic, Skills Instructor
Anthony Mihelich graduated from Murr. Mesa HS in 2020 and from MSJC Menifee Campus EMT School at the same time. In May 2021 he graduated from MVC Ben Clark Fire Academy Class 43. He has been with AMR Riv. since June 2021 as an EMT and just reclassed in Feb. 2024 as a Paramedic. He attended MVC Ben Clark Paramedic Academy Class 24 and Graduated in Oct. 2023. "Working part time at SoCal EMS to help others reach their goals in this field has been a very rewarding ."
Dwight James
EMT, Skills Instructor
I went through the 7 week course at SOCAL EMS Training Institute back in 2022. After completing the course I started working in IFT transports where I did BLS and CCT transports. I have over three thousand hours of experience in the field. Being in EMS has helped me realize that I want to continue learning and progressing in this field. I am honored to be a skills instructor here to help all students with any questions they may have throughout the course.

Sipriana Rodela

Sipriana is from Temecula, CA, and graduated from Temecula Valley HS. She later graduated
from UC Riverside with a B.S in Biology in 2021. Sipriana completed EMT school at SoCal
EMS in 2023. Sipriana is currently an ER tech at Loma Linda University Medical Center
Murrieta. I’m passionate about emergency medicine and I’m excited to get to help mentor and grow with others in this field!
Nadia Felden

Hello my name is Nadia Felden.
I am a former student of SCEMSTI and now back to share my knowledge and experience with you all. I currently work at McCormick Ambulance in LA, and did IFT for a year prior to going 911. Being in health care has always been a passion of mine and my end goal is to become a Fire Fighter Medic. On my off time I like to spend my days outside whether it’s on the beach, the barn or the gym.
Mackenzie Sturgeon

Hi! My name is MacKenzie Sturgeon. I am an EMT for AMR - San Diego and work as an FTO on the IFT side. I have been with AMR - San Diego since September of 2023. Prior to working in EMS I worked as a caregiver specializing in Alzheimers affecting seniors. I took the 10 week night course here at SoCal EMSTI and I'm excited to be back and help future EMTs!
