Jonny launched his EMS journey in 2009 as an EMT, gaining hands-on experience with a BLS ambulance company while serving as a reserve firefighter. In 2014, he leveled up by completing Paramedic School at Palomar College. Over the next 8 years, Jonny served the Escondido Fire Department as a Non-Safety Paramedic and Firefighter, where he honed his craft in high-pressure environments. He later took to the skies, joining Mercy Air as a Flight Paramedic.

Vice President, Paramedic, Program Director

Born in Southern California, Jade has been making her mark in EMS for over a decade. She’s served on the front lines as an EMT and brought her skills into the hospital setting as an ER Tech. In 2011, she completed Paramedic School and went on to serve the Hemet community as a Paramedic with AMR. For the past 10yrs, Jade has been a driving force at Socal EMS—first as a lead instructor and now Program Director shaping the next generation of EMS.

Office Manager, EMT

Hi there, My name is Victoria. Prior to attending Socal EMS in 2023 I worked in geriatric care for nine years. Following graduation I began working in the office as well working for a local IFT company. Having experience in the field gives me the opportunity to help fellow students grow in the EMS field. 

EMT/Firefighter, Skill Instructor

Greg has over 30 years of experience in the EMS field. He worked as an EMT for a private ambulance before going to Paramedic School at Harbor/ UCLA Hospital. He retired from Alhambra and Orange County Fire Authority as a Parademic-Engineer with 30 years of service. Greg has worked for Disneyland Fire Department for the last 5 years and has been an EMT instructor since the early 90’s. Greg is currently a Primary Instructor and has been with SoCal EMS since 2017.

C. Revey Jones is a paramedic for AMR Hemet. Jones has two Bachelor's degrees: one in American Studies and the other in Film Studies. She also has a Master's degree in Communications (Film Writing) all from her alma mater: Cal State University, Fullerton. After Jones worked in the film indury for a couple of years she experienced a life-altering event that inspired her to become a first responder. Jones went back to school and received an Associate in Paramedicine.

Hi all! I’m Morgan I’m a SoCal local and I’ve currently been a paramedic for 2 years! My journey started here at this school in 2020 since then I’ve worked as an ER tech, wildland firefighter and more! I also have my bachelors in health sciences from Purdue! I’m super excited to help you all succeed in this journey!

Hey my name is Austen Scroggins. I am an Engineer/Paramedic for Cal Fire Riverside County and am currently assigned to station 10 in the City of Lake Elsinore. I have been teaching at So Cal EMS for over 7 years now and love to teach and help the new generation grow a passion for EMS like I have. You will always see me smiling, laughing, and having a good time!

Albert started his EMS career in 2008 and attended EMT school at MSJC. He worked for AMR Riverside before going to Paramedic School in 2013. Once he graduated he re-classed as a Paramedic in 2014 for AMR.  Albert  now works for Reach Air Medical Services as a paramedic.

Tyler has been in EMS since 2020. He started out working for LA county AMR as an EMT for three years then transferred over to Riverside county AMR and now works as a paramedic in Moreno Valley. He is very passionate about EMS and is excited to give back and be able to teach the up and coming EMT’s.

Aedon is a paramedic and instructor at Southern California EMS Training Institute, where she also began her EMS journey as a student. She has worked in EMS since 2021, first as an EMT and later earning her paramedic certification in 2023 after completing medic school aat Crafton Hills College. In addition to teaching, Aedon serves the City of San Diego as a working paramedic, bringing real-world experience and a passion for prehospital care into the classroom.

Hello everyone, my name is Miranda Steelman. My career in EMS started right here at SoCal EMS in 2018. Since then, I have been an EMT for AMR since 2019. I am looking forward to helping everyone on their journey to become successful, confident EMTs!

Hi my name is Jacob Harris, I have worked in the EMS field beginning in January 2023. I am very excited to share the knowledge that I have acquired during my time in EMS. I have been married to my lovely wife Rebecca for 4 wonderful years, she is the one who pushed me to do start in EMS and I thank her for it everyday. We are expecting our first child soon and we are very excited to grow our family.

Duncan began his EMS career in 2023 at this school. Over the past three years, he has worked as a 911 EMT, graduated from the fire academy, and serves as a reserve firefighter. He is currently pursuing an associate’s degree in fire technology and plans to attend paramedic school. He is passionate about EMS and enjoys helping new EMTs become confident, proficient providers.

Hi! I’m Mackenzie, a graduate of SoCal EMS (Class of January 2022). Since earning my certification, I’ve gained diverse field experience working with AMR in both San Diego and Riverside, including IFT, BLS 911, ALS support, and special event coverage. 

I’ve also had the privilege of being part of the SoCal EMS team for over a year, where I’ve continued to grow professionally while helping support and guide others entering the field.
